Higgs LLP, one of the West Midlands’ leading law firms, is celebrating the successful qualification of four of its trainees who are becoming solicitors at the firm, reiterating its commitment to developing new talent.
The four Associates - Jess Bull, Jodie Johnson, Jonny Jones and Richard Freeman - who have been completing their two-year training contracts with the Black Country-based legal firm and will take up permanent positions.
Richard, Jonny and Jess are working in the businesses services department, while Jodie has joined the Family team.
Managing Partner Nick Taylor said: “We are proud of our trainees who have each qualified during a period of great disruption. They have not allowed the COVID pandemic to prevent them from achieving their ambitions and have adapted to the new legal landscape with huge tenacity spirit.
“We’ve been incredibly impressed at Jess, Jodie, Johnny and Richard’s attitudes to learning and are proud to continue offering a unique and flexible training contract experience to future lawyers."

Jess is a University of Liverpool Law graduate and has trained with Higgs' commercial property, corporate and insolvency teams.
Jodie, meanwhile, studied at the University of Cambridge and The University of Law, while Jonny graduated from the University of Birmingham and is now specialising in restructuring and insolvency.
Richard, a University of Warwick graduate, says his passion is to help fast growing businesses through investment and on to exit.
