Higgs LLP experts are celebrating this week, following the release of the 2025 edition of the Legal 500.
The firm achieved three band 1 rankings for its Charities, Corporate and Commercial and Family Law teams. Whilst its Clinical Negligence, Commercial Litigation, Corporate Tax, Property, Private Client (Contentious Trusts and Probate) and Personal Injury teams are ranked in band 2.
Other teams achieving top tier rankings are Employment (band 3), and Construction and Private Client (Tax, Trusts and Probate) in band 4.
Tim Jones, Head of Employment at Higgs is also recognised individually as a leading mediator in the region.
The rankings are derived from research amongst clients, contacts and industry peers, and are testament to the breadth of expertise at Higgs. Comments about the teams include ‘strongest team in the Midlands’ and ‘high quality’ whilst they are also noted for ‘technical excellence’ and as ‘impressive’.
The rankings round off a successful year for Higgs - its Property team was crowned Property Law Firm of the Year in 2024 at the Midlands Property & Investment Awards and the Corporate team (which is regularly ranked by Experian as one of the top most active dealmakers in the Midlands for M&A work) won the award for Regional Legal Team at the West Midlands Rainmaker Awards 2024.
