Higgs LLP has once again been selected to support The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) as its Trusted Legal Partner in the West Midlands region.
The renewed partnership continues our commitment to enhancing the holistic support that is available to clients who have sustained or acquired life-changing spinal injuries, as well as support to their families and friends.
We will also support SIA with fundraising activities.
Andy Shaw, Partner and Head of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, said: “We’re pleased to have been re-selected as SIA’s Trusted Legal Partner for the West Midlands region.
“It means we have demonstrable experience in handling catastrophic injury claims and have met the charity’s strict criteria.
“We’re absolutely passionate about supporting individuals who have been affected by spinal cord injuries and their families and friends. The partnership means our clients will benefit from access to SIA’s dedicated support network, while the association will also signpost enquiries to our specialist legal team.”

The specialist personal injury and medical negligence team will continue to provide expert legal advice if there is a claim as a result of injuries sustained or substandard medical intervention, while the wider team is also available to support other legal issues that arise, such as the purchase of single level accommodation, or dealing with matrimonial issues or employment concerns.
Andy added: “The partnership means people with spinal cord injuries have all the support they need in one place, rather than having to speak to several legal service providers, which can add to the stress.
“Our people-centred approach means we can meet our clients’ wider needs as they start to rebuild their lives after spinal cord injury.”
A spokesperson for the SIA said: “We are delighted to have Higgs LLP continue to be one of our trusted legal partners in the West Midlands, having been an important part of our regional partnership pilot.
“Our trusted legal partners are a crucial part of our network, providing expert legal advice for members and supporting us to achieve our aim of a fulfilled life for everyone affected by spinal cord injury.”
Higgs LLP’ personal injury and medical negligence team has long standing expertise in supporting people who have been affected by a range of issues arising from spinal cord injuries, brain injury, amputations and complex polytrauma.
This partnership will allow us to support more people with spinal cord injuries as well as access niche training from SIA.
