"I am an associate in the contentious trusts and probate team and have experience dealing with a variety claims including will disputes and Inheritance Act claims.”

I qualified as a solicitor in 2023, having trained at a specialist litigation firm.

I represent both claimants and defendants in a range of contentious trust and probate matters, including will challenges, executor disputes and inheritance disputes

I understand that no two cases are the same, and always push to achieve the best outcome based on each individual client’s needs.

  • My client brought a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, on the grounds that her deceased husband’s will (which had been incorrectly drafted by another firm of solicitors) failed to make reasonable financial provision for her. The claim was successful at mediation, and my client was able to keep her family home, valued at over £200,000.
  • My client’s stepdaughter bought a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, on the grounds that her deceased mother’s will failed to make reasonable financial provision for her. My client, who had been the sole executor of his late wife’s estate, agreed to negotiate a settlement. I was able to reduce the stepdaughter’s claim of over £400,000 down to less than £200,000.
  • My client contested the validity of her late mother’s will on the grounds of capacity and coercion by the Defendant, who was her brother. After a successful mediation, my client received the majority of her mother’s estate, her brother agreed to renounce himself as an executor and a date was agreed for him to leave his mother’s property.
  • My client was in a dispute with his brother, who was the administrator of their mother’s estate. The brother had initially agreed to sell the mother’s property to my client, but changed his mind after and argument. Having stepped in as a neutral individual, I was able to have productive conversations with the brother, reminding him of his duties as administrator, and our client was able successfully purchase the property as initially agreed.
