A specialist search platform for solicitors and a legal tech firm have joined forces with the help of Higgs LLP.
Higgs’ corporate law team advised the shareholders of Legal Bricks as it was acquired by Access Legal.
Legal Bricks, based in Higgs’ hometown of Brierley Hill, offers solicitors a customised online property search platform aimed at speeding up the conveyancing process alongside other anti-money laundering products.
Access Legal, meanwhile, is part of the private equity backed Access Group, which provides legal software for businesses and law firms.

All of Legal Bricks’ team of over 40 employees will be joining Access, while founder Mike Connelly will become commercial director in the new set-up.

Access Group said the acquisition of Legal Bricks complemented its plans to create a digital workplace for law firms, bringing together a suite of legal software solutions and services.
