Paralegal - Medical Negligence
"I am a highly efficient paralegal with a solid background of delivering legal support to a high standard. ”
I work in the medical negligence team, having joined Higgs as a paralegal in September 2021. Prior to joining Higgs, I was a Legal Assistant at a large national law firm.
At present I predominantly work on the HM Coroner investigation into the deaths of former patients of Mr Paterson. I work alongside a small team of specialists dedicated to the investigation. I assist in reviewing the treatment provided to patients to determine whether there is a reason to suspect that that the circumstances of the death are such that an inquest is required.
I also assist the wider team who specialise in clinical negligence claims which vary in complexity.
I have recently embarked on CPQ CILEX course and hope to qualify as a CILEX Lawyer.
- Attending PIRH in relation to the Paterson investigation. This was an important hearing and significant in progressing the investigation.
- Dealing with a large disclosure task which involved the distribution of a large number of documents to numerous recipients. I was able to successfully execute this task in an efficient way.
- I have helped fundraise for the Beacon Centre raising over three hundred pounds and successfully obtaining a grant from the firm to be awarded to the charity.
