Simrit Chahal
Associate - Personal Injury
"I am a personal injury associate specialising in serious injury claims. I am passionate about securing the best results for our client’s, ensuring that they receive the support, rehabilitation, and compensation they rightfully deserve.”
Prior to joining Higgs LLP, I worked as a serious injury paralegal in a national law firm for two years.
My experience encompasses dealing with a wide range of injuries and accident circumstances, including complex polytrauma, amputations, brain injuries, spinal injuries, and fatal accidents.
Our clients have often sustained life changing injuries. Therefore, I believe taking a client-centred approach is a fundamental necessity. It also includes providing our clients with a support system beyond legal representation, including arranging medical care, rehabilitation and identifying each client’s immediate and long-term needs.
I also believe it is important to obtain interim payments (advance payments of compensation) to offer financial support to the client and their family, where possible. I appreciate that accidents not only have a life changing impact on the injured party, but also their family.
My goal is to achieve the best possible outcome for my clients.
In my spare time, I have engaged in pro-bono work with AMICUS, who provide legal support for those facing the death penalty in America. I have also delivered a range of presentations in local schools in order to provide future generations with insight and exposure into the legal profession.
