I work within the commercial property team, having joined Higgs as a paralegal in February 2019. Prior to joining Higgs, I was a paralegal in another medium sized regional law firm.

I have been advising and assisting on all aspects of SDLT and Land Registration for over twenty years. Typically, I assist fee earners to ensure their clients comply with their SDLT liability to ensure compliance with HMRC.

I calculate SDLT on transactions for both freehold and leasehold properties to ensure that clients pay the correct amount of SDLT required.

I assist fee earners with Land Registry requisitions or queries raised by HMLR by using the HMLR portal to make enquiries and applications.

Reviewing, approving and drafting Land Registry documentation such as e-AP1, FR1, RX and CN forms

Communicating with clients by email and telephone to assist with queries.
