Becky Pickering

I am a commercial property associate, having joined Higgs in September 2021. Prior to joining Higgs, I worked at a regional firm in the West Midlands and international and national firms in the South West.

I have particular expertise when acting for both Landlord and Tenant in respect of their asset management requirements. I am able to assist with the grant of new or renewal leases, assignments or subletting, alterations to leased property and surrenders. My experience ranges from small one off transactions to larger investment portfolios.

I am instructed in respect of property acquisitions and disposals. I am experienced in dealing with both registered and unregistered land, leasehold or freehold and properties subject to occupational leases. I support my clients through the legal and funding process. I work with my clients to satisfy and deal with their lender’s requirements when obtaining funding to purchase the property.

I also act solely on behalf of lenders who are taking security over property as part of a refinance, an investment loan or development funding.

I also work closely with the business services team at Higgs to assist with the sale or acquisition of businesses where a property is included within the deal. I work closely with our clients to work through the due diligence and disclosure exercises associated with the sale and purchase of a business.  

My work spans clients who operate in a wide range of sectors including social care, retail, property investment and industrial and are located both locally and nationally across the UK.
