Robert Bubb
Legal Assistant - Court of Protection
"I am a legal assistant within the court of protection team at Higgs LLP. I assist with the management of financial affairs for clients and handle the process of preparing Court of Protection matters to have their costs assessed by the Senior Courts Costs Office.”
I joined the Court of Protection team at Higgs LLP in October 2021, following on from graduating Aston University with an upper second-class honours in English Language and Literature.
I assist the wider the team with the general management of financial affairs for clients; ranging from those who have received settlements from clinical negligence and personal injury claims, to panel deputy appointments. I aid with making sure that each Court of Protection matter is correctly prepared in order for costs to be assessed properly and ensure the best fee-realisation that we can as a team for all our clients.
I enjoy forming a relationship with clients and assisting with building a support network for an individual that has specific needs. I specifically enjoy the challenge of having to build these relationships with a holistic approach. Ultimately, the end goal of building a successful relationship is to enable us to positively impact a client and their family’s lives, which is the most rewarding aspect of my role
I am currently completing the law essentials course at the University of Law, with aspirations of completing the SQE in the future.
